Introducing our cloud-based backup service offering unlimited scaling, multiple storage options, unlimited data transfer, and robust data encryption. With Azure Backup's Recovery Services vaults, we can safeguard various resources, including Azure-deployed VMs, classic VMs, and VMs running on Managed Disks, among others. Our objective is to ensure comprehensive backup and recovery for both physical and virtual servers, or clients using Azure Backup.
Key Features:
- Creation of a Recovery Services vault to store backups and recovery points.
- A selection of storage replication options such as geo-redundant storage, or locally redundant storage.
- Configuration of backup goals, policies, and protected items.
- Installation of VM Agent on virtual machines, physical servers, or clients.
- Verification of backup and recovery functionality, with necessary troubleshooting.
Responsibilities IT Partner:
- Collaboration with the client to define backup points and policies.
- Configuration of Azure Backup Cloud Service.
- Installation and configuration of backup agents.
- Setting up schedules and policies.
- Verification of backup and recovery operations, including test data recovery.
Client:
- Coordination of resources and staff schedules.
- Appointment of a dedicated point of contact.
- Coordination of external vendor resources and schedules.
- Configuration of network equipment.
- Review and approval of engagement deliverables.
Prerequisites:
- None required.
Plan:
- Kick-off meeting.
- Definition of backup points and policies.
- Preparation of Azure Backup Vault.
- Installation and configuration of backup agents.
- Verification and resolution of any issues.
Success Criteria:
- Backup points and policies defined and configured.
- Backup operations aligned with policy settings.
- Successful test data recovery performed.
Upon project completion, a comprehensive project closeout report will be provided detailing acceptance criteria, outstanding issues, and the final budget. Additional documentation is available upon request for an extra fee.
