Our primary objective is to seamlessly migrate a SQL Server to an Azure VM with minimal disruption.
Project success is defined by the availability of SQL databases on Azure without any data loss.
IT Partner Responsibilities:
- Implementation of SQL Server Snapshot Agent, Log Reader Agent, and Distribution Agent.
- Preparation of snapshot files containing schema and data of published tables and database objects.
- Synchronization of jobs in the distribution database on the Distributor.
Facilitation of incremental changes at the Publisher flow to Subscribers as per the Distribution Agent schedule, ensuring minimal latency, or at scheduled intervals.
Client Responsibilities:
- Appointing a dedicated point of contact for seamless collaboration with IT Partner, and coordination of external resources and schedules.
- Configuration of all networking equipment, including load balancers, routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Provision of access to physical and virtual servers/systems, and necessary services.
- Remote or physical access to facilities and systems required for project completion.
Upon project completion, a comprehensive project closeout report will be provided detailing final project status, evidence of meeting acceptance criteria, outstanding issues, and the final budget. Additional documentation can be provided upon request for an extra fee.
The migration plan is adaptable to your specific needs and typically includes a kick-off meeting, review of SQL Server and Windows Server configurations, deployment initiation, finalization of deployment and verification, and resolution of any issues encountered.
