Office 365 Tenant-to-Tenant Cutover Email Migration

Oftentimes clients require Office 365 cloud platform migrations, especially during corporate mergers necessitating Office 365 tenant consolidation.
Our objective is to provide comprehensive planning, design, and execution of email service migrations between Office 365 tenants.
During the migration process, there may be email downtime due to the process of transitioning domains between tenants, as Microsoft prohibits the same domain in multiple tenants at any given time. To mitigate downtime, email queuing options are available during transitions.
For clients averse to short-term downtime and potential email loss, we offer an alternative: Office 365 Tenant-to-Tenant Cutover Email Migration Without Downtime and Bounced Email.
- Exporting resources from the source tenant.
- Importing resources to the destination tenant via AD Connect or CSV import.
- Conducting pre-stage migrations for emails and folders older than 30 days.
- Executing the final mailbox migration, encompassing calendars, contacts, rules, and other data.
- Managing domain zone record changes to facilitate migration.
- Appointing a dedicated person to act as liaison in collaboration with the IT Partner.
- Coordinating external resources and schedules.
- Configuring network equipment.
- Deploying email software on client workstations if required.
- Making necessary DNS changes.
- Assisting in identifying high-risk users and informing them of upcoming changes.
Upon project completion we furnish a project closeout report detailing the final status, any outstanding issues, and the budget. Additional documentation can be provided upon request for an extra fee.
Prerequisites
Global-admin access to both the source and destination Office 365 tenants,
Exchange Online licenses for the destination tenant, and access to the email domain DNS zone.
The project plan, typically comprising a kick-off meeting, pre-migration health check, user creation or AD Connect configuration, email migration, MX record change, post-migration tasks, and verification of success criteria, may vary based on the exact client requirements.
Success criteria encompass seamless Exchange Online access, successful migration to the new tenant, functional transport rules, and the ability to send and receive emails using Exchange Online.
