IT Partner responsibilities

• Extract mailbox-enabled users, contacts, groups, and other resources from the source tenant.
• Transfer resources to the destination tenant utilizing AD Connect or CSV import methods.
• Execute a pre-stage migration, focusing solely on emails and folders exceeding 30 days.
• Proceed with the final mailbox migration, incorporating calendars, contacts, rules, and additional data.
• Adjust domain zone records to accommodate specific migration necessities.

Client responsibilities

• Designate a dedicated liaison for seamless collaboration with the IT Partner.
• Efficiently manage external vendor resources and scheduling logistics.
• Configure diverse network components including load balancers, routers, firewalls, and switches.
• Deploy email software on client workstations if leveraging Microsoft Outlook or similar desktop clients.
• Execute tailored changes to both internal and external DNS configurations as necessary.
• Identify and prioritize high-risk users, encompassing top executives, VIPs, and those with substantial mailbox sizes or deleted folders.
• Conduct the recreation of Outlook profiles on client workstations where desktop Outlook versions are utilized.
• Provide personalized notifications to users regarding impending changes and furnish essential details accordingly.

Additional cost items not provided by the project

• Communication of forthcoming changes to users.
• Optional customer team training service available.
• Optional migration of corporate documents to SharePoint Online service.
• Customization of desktop software settings.
• The provision of a project closeout report detailing final status, acceptance criteria, outstanding issues, and budget upon project completion. Additional documentation available for an extra fee.

Prerequisites

1. You must hold global-admin privileges for the Office 365 environment you're migrating from.
2. Likewise, global-admin privileges are needed for the destination Office 365 environment, along with available Exchange Online licenses.
3. Access to your email domain's DNS zone is also essential.

• Email transmission and reception through Exchange Online are fully operational.
