Responsibilities of IT Partner:
- Conduct a thorough Data Assessment.
- Strategize the most suitable data migration approach.
- Execute the migration process meticulously from source to destination.
Client's duties:
- Provide access to relevant server(s) and data location(s).
- Furnish essential SharePoint or Teams destination details.
- Efficiently coordinate internal resources and schedules.
- Nominate a dedicated point of contact for streamlined communication.
- Manage external vendor engagements, if necessary.
Please note, additional services such as planning and configuring desired SharePoint Online/Teams solutions are not covered under this project.
Prerequisites include having a Microsoft 365 tenant and possessing SharePoint or Teams licenses.
Project Plan:
- Initiate with a comprehensive kick-off meeting.
- Secure access to the source system.
- Strategize data assessment and migration plan.
- Commence initial migration activities.
- Execute final cutover and migration.
Success Criteria:
- Successful migration of data from the specified location to SharePoint Online/Teams, ensuring the retention of relevant metadata (e.g., author, creation date) wherever possible, based on the source system.
