We offer a straightforward and thoroughly tested method for transferring databases between machines. Additionally, for large data transfers, we can assist in coordinating the shipment of hard drives through the Azure Import/Export Service, especially where network uploads are impractical or costly. Furthermore, we provide SQL Server version upgrading services as needed. Our aim is to seamlessly migrate SQL databases to an Azure VM while maintaining the same SQL Server version. Success is achieved when SQL databases are accessible from Azure without any loss of data.
- Performing a complete database backup to an on-premises location.
- Creating a virtual machine with the desired SQL Server version.
- Establishing connectivity, either over the Internet or within the same virtual network.
- Transferring necessary files to the VM.
- Appointing a dedicated point of contact to coordinate with the IT Partner and external vendor resources and schedules.
- Configuring all networking equipment, including load balancers, routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Providing access to physical and virtual servers, systems, and services as required. Items not covered within the project scope include software version upgrades and customer team training. Upon project completion we will provide a project closeout report detailing the final status, fulfilment of acceptance criteria, outstanding issues, and the final budget. Additional documentation can be provided at an extra fee.
