For organizations running Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 on their PCs and seeking a seamless transition to Windows 10 without user disruption, our service offers automated remote upgrades during non-working hours. This ensures that all compatible applications and user files are preserved throughout the process.

This service is tailored for organizations with 25 or more PCs. For smaller setups, please refer to our Manually In-Place Upgrade to Windows 10 service.

Responsibilities: IT Partner:

Conduct compatibility analysis of existing computers for Windows 10.
Prepare the environment for automated upgrades, including OS configuration, SCCM setup, AD configuration, and agent installation on all PCs.
Execute in-place upgrades to Windows 10, maintaining all files and compatible applications.
Resolve any issues encountered during the upgrade process, or in case of failure.

Client:

Coordinate resources and staff schedules.
Appoint a dedicated point of contact to liaise with IT Partner.
Grant access to Active Directory services.
Provide a server (physical or virtual) for System Centre Configuration Manager installation.
Coordinate with external vendors if necessary.
Configure network equipment.
Review and approve deliverables in a timely manner.
Swiftly address hardware issues.
Be prepared to provide onsite assistance, if required.

Additional Costs (Not Included):

Support for workstations with operating systems other than Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Firmware installation or BIOS configuration.
Training for end-user teams.
Any items not explicitly outlined in the project scope.

Upon project completion a comprehensive closeout report will be provided detailing the project status, outstanding issues, and budget. Extended documentation can be provided for an additional fee. Downtime Expectations Each upgraded computer may experience downtime of at least two (2) hours, subject to variation based on computer performance.

Prerequisites:

Windows 10 compatible computers and licenses (available for purchase through IT Partner).
All computers must be domain joined.
A server (physical or virtual) with a minimum of 16 GB memory, 250 GB free disk space, and a 4-core CPU.

The plan will be tailored to meet specific organizational needs, including:

Kick-off meeting.
Environment preparation for automated upgrades.
Compatibility analysis of existing workstations for Windows 10.
Creation and coordination of update schedules.
Phased updating of workstations in groups.
Verification and resolution of any encountered issues.

Success Criteria:

Successful operation of Windows 10 on all workstations, as per the licensing agreement.
Preservation of all user files and compatible applications throughout the upgrade process.
