Azure Entra ID is the legacy name for what Microsoft now calls Microsoft Entra ID — previously known as Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). The product was rebranded in 2023. All existing Azure AD tenants are now Microsoft Entra ID tenants; no migration is required. Licensing tiers previously sold as Azure AD P1 and P2 are now sold as Entra ID P1 and P2 with the same feature set.
