Data residency for the Defender XDR tenant is set at the tenant level during initial provisioning. IT Partner confirms Canada Central or Canada East residency as part of the Phase 1 environment review — before any workload is configured. This applies to PIPEDA accountability obligations and the evolving requirements under Bill C-27.
